Add records from past trainings
When you set up Branchworks for the first time, you will likely want to add records of past trainings. There are several ways to do this.
Click the Employees button in the Control Center. Make sure you've included your employees roles (see Roles page for more on this). This will allow you to automatically generate a list of open trainings.
Click on the Upload Past Trainings button.
Next click download to find a spreadsheet where you can add past records.
Open this spreadsheet and add the training dates for past trainings.
Save your spreadsheet and upload.
To use the Open Trainings section of the Control Center, click on the Show button to the right:
From here, you can click See All.
This will take you to a page that lists all Open Trainings.A training is “Open” if it is required of an employee based on their roles, but not yet recorded as complete.
On the right side of your screen, you can filter trainings in several ways. For example, if you want to see all open trainings for a single employee, you can enter that employee’s name at the top, and click the blue Apply button.
As you can see, it is also possible to filter by TrainingTopic, Policy, Date Hired Range, and Employment Status. You can also filter by multiple categories at once.
Press Apply to enter a new filter.
There are two ways to mark these open trainings as complete. If multiple open assignments can be verified with the same document, you will want to use Bulk Approval. For example, you could have a document with many signatures from a single training, or you could have a single document that proves an employee completed several trainings.
If, instead, you have separate documents for each training, you will want to use Solo Approval. We will look at each method below.
To record approvals individually, select the Solo option at the top of the page.
You will see that Trainingsrequire you to upload a document and enter the date of the training, whilepolicies only require a date. Enter the relevant information and press Save.
A green checkmark will appear once it has been saved
You can use filters to pull up the multiple open assignments that can be satisfied with a single document. The Filter box can be accessed when None is selected at the top of the screen.
Once the filter is applied, select the Bulk option at the top of the screen.
Here you have the option to uncheck boxes to the left of any row that is not relevant to this document.
Then you can enter the date trained, upload your document, and click the Approve Assignments button.
When you record a past training, the facilitator will be blank. Any past approval will record which administrator approved the past training and when they approved it.
