Designate employees who can supervise trainings and upload their certifications
The "Manage Employees" page explains how to designate employees as trainers when they are added into Branchworks.
If you have an employee already in the system that you would like to make a trainer, you can return to Manage Employees, and click on their name there. This will take you to their profile. The black Edit Profile button. Here you can select the Trainer box:
Once an employee is a trainer, you can add specific training topics that they can facilitate.
In their employee profile, expand the bar called “Current Roles, Training Topics & Policies” by clicking the Show button on the right side.
This will show you information about the trainings required of that employee, as well as what they can train on. In the case of this this employee, Shane is in the role of “All Employees,” as well as the role of “Warehouse Operators.”
[Should this be renamed as “orientation” as was mentioned as a best practice elsewhere?Or should the term “All Employees” be considered best practice? Orientation is helpful for onboarding, but “All Employees” may be more intuitive. In the case of a company-wide policy update, for example, employees who’ve been at the company for many years will still need to be notified]
To see what trainings Shane can facilitate, click the rectangle labeled “+All Training Topics & Policies.”
Once your trainers are added, you can add their qualifications.
Return to the Branchworks Control Center. Click on the Trainers button.
Here you can add certifications by clicking on the black Add Certification button in the upper right.
The dropdown under Trainer will show you the names of all designated trainers. Select the trainer whose certifications you’d like to add, and the relevant training topic. Set the expiration date of this certification, and press save.
To add an additional certification for the same trainer, click Add Certification again, enter the information about the next certification, and save.
SMG: When adding a “qualification” we would select from two choices 1. Work Experience or 2.Certification. Certifications would require upload of the certificate or other documentation as proof. Multiple certifications/qualifications can be added to one trainer.
To edit a certification, click on the trainer’s name on the Trainers page. This will take you to their profile, and give you the option to edit their information from there.
